| Founded in 1992, Preferred Mechanical Services, Inc. is a merit shop HVAC contractor/service firm based in Pembroke and serving all of New England. Our affiliate, Preferred Contractors, Inc. was founded in 1994 to facilitate the administration of larger, more complex installations. Past projects range from conventional office buildings, exclusive homes, sports facilities, ice arenas, schools and warehouse/production facilities to more complex installations such as positive pressure laboratories, clean rooms and UV filtration systems.

Preferred has the capability to dedicate full rotating crews for fast track installations as well as difficult or unusual applications. Our office staff is comprised of fully licensed personnel, each with decades of experience in the mechanical industry. Our field staff consists of licensed refrigeration mechanics, certified welders, certified specialty gases, master plumbers and pipefitters. Our Service Division allows us to offer maintenance, warranty coverage and technical support throughout the course of a project and has become a highly regarded and competitive entity covering both new and existing installations to ensure equipment reliability beyond project completion.

| Our
newest venture, Preferred Control Solutions, LLC specializes in
controls and computerized energy management systems with a Managing
Member boasting decades of experience in the computer networking
industry. Currently, several of our technicians travel
with laptop computers to remotely access automatic control systems
allowing them to change or monitor settings and, in some applications,
troubleshoot system operations. We are very excited about
our expansion into this fast-growing marketplace and have been humbled
by the technological advances made in the industry.

Our design/build capabilities are particularly strong and many of our clients have enjoyed tremendous cost savings by utilizing our creative alternatives. With an in-house CAD department, we strive to work with an engineering team as a linked cohesive unit. In the past we have had the opportunity to delve into the practical resolution of complex design and coordination issues helping to ensure uninterrupted job progress while offering suggestions for prompt, affordable alternatives to frequently encountered design difficulties Our extensive experience in the industry has afforded us exposure to many different applications and their effectiveness. We feel that this exposure often benefits both the engineering firms we work with and our end-users. In these uncertain economic times, our steady growth stands as testament to our both our ability and integrity. Each of our divisions is managed by a partner whose involvement on a day-to-day basis ensures that every facet is overseen by someone who has a vested interest in your success on the job, as well as Preferred’s. Though success can be measured in many ways, we are particularly proud of two vital statistics: in excess of 75% of our volume is repeat business, and the average tenure of our crew just passed six years.
